Meet The Staff

April Clark

April has been devoted to fitness for over 10 years. She is a former rugby player turned triathlete. Her triathlon training led her to become a spin instructor. She loves bringing the outdoors to her studio training classes, making you feel like you’re in the race of your life. In addition to cycling, April is also an avid runner and weight lifts regularly. She is the mother of three girls, ages, 5, 3, and 1, and works full time as a high school math teacher.

Brittney Kilkenny

Brittney is a seasoned gymnast with 10-years of experience competing up to level 9. She has been a gymnastics coach for many years, teaching a variety of ages from 5 to 15 years old. Brittney joins the WiO Gymnastics Program instructing a variety of classes from Kiddie Tumblers to Advanced 1/2, feel free to say hi and introduce yourself! 

Cheryl Tarbous

Cheryl, a fitness enthusist for 10+ years, decided to preach what she practiced. She is a certified MaddDogg Athletics spin instructor and endurance athlete competing in half marathons and triathlons at the sprint, olympic, and half ironman distances. An avid cyclist outdoors, she applies her outdoor experience to get you pushing hard, pedaling fast, and having a great time while doing it. As a full time financial services professional she believes health and fitness are crucial parts of a well balanced life – and will make the best use of your time every class you spend with her!

Devon Descalzi

Have a little gymnast at home?  Why not have them train with the best? Devon, sister to owner Noel, is the youth gymnastics instructor, teaching a wide variety of WiO gymnasts and classes. She began her gymnastics career at the age of five and was on a competitive all-star cheerleading team for five years. She is currently attending Saint Peter’s College as a full-time student and is pursuing an Early Childhood Education major. Devon is a fan favorite with the kiddie’s as well as the mom’s.

Donielle EJ Janora

Donielle can be seen throughout the WiO studio teaching gymnastics, dancing in Zumba, or hosting yoga. After receiving a B.F.A. in Dance Performance from the University at Buffalo, she became a member of the Dance Swing and Ensemble national tour for “The Will Rogers Follies” and “Footloose”. Donielle is the dance coordinator/choreographer for the United States Tournament of Dance and Acrobatic Team where they have performed at Disney, Madison Square Garden, the Prudential Center, and many other locations. Donielle is also a 200 hour vinyasa flow yoga instructor with her training from Laughing Lotus in NYC. You are in good hands at WiO with Donielle!

Evelyn Pimentel

Over the course of her life, Evelyn has moved around quite a bit; New Jersey, New York, Costa Rica, Miami and Las Vegas. In 2007 while in Vegas, she was introduced to Zumba and fell in love! As a certified Zumba instructor with years of experience, Evelyn is very passionate about the energy, love and excitement it brings to her life and is eager to share her spirit with the WiO community.

Gina Oakley

Gina, our WiO Client Service Coordinator, is your one-stop for any and all questions you might have on a class, package, membership, or product. She has been an integral part to the WiO team for over a year. Gina’s prior career in fashion merchandising has made her a knowledgeable contributor to the WiO blog’s fashion and beauty content. Stop by and chat with her, you will certainly learn something about WiO and much more!

Heather Hamwey

Full-time fitness professional, Heather Hamwey has been Spin certified since 2006. She taught part-time for a few years, then in 2008 left her job in advertising to pursue her passion for Personal Training through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Since then she has been instructing ride and group fitness classes, as well as private clients. Heather puts her knowledge and love for fitness to work in all of her WiO classes including Riding High, Ride Mixer and Next Stop: Skinny. She will keep you motivated and energized the entire time!

Kayley Skoglund

A recent graduate of Marist College, Kaley recently relocated to Hoboken to work for a tech consulting firm in the city. Her fitness career started during her college years when she taught at both private gyms and on campus. With four years experience as a fitness instructor under her belt, Kaley is excited and ready to bring her love of fitness and dance to WiO! You can find Kaley making it hot in a WiO Zumba class every Thursday night at 8:20pm!

Kara Hermes

Kara, the WiO Fitness Director, has been Spin certified for over 10 years and has always been passionate about exercise. She teaches with enthusiasm and makes the ride fun with a mix of old and new music favorites. Kara’s rides will take you through several simulated road “terrains” that can be adapted to any fitness level. Animated and enthusiastic she will push you through your ride with ease and motivation.

Kelly Wadler

Kelly will help you find your inner dancer! A graduated from Hofstra University with a BFA in Theater Performance, Kelly has been intensely trained in many forms of dance since age nine. You can find her at WiO leading Zumba Love and Hip to the Hop, where you are guaranteed an amazing sweat and an absolute blast! When she is not teaching, she stays busy dancing for an entertainment company as well as acting in Off-Broadway shows.

Liz Zelensy 

If you are a Saturday morning WiOer than you have probably met our new studio associate, the upbeat Liz! Liz graduated magna cum laude from Rider University in 2010 with a BA degree in dance and journalism. She has been studying ballet, modern, pointe, contemporary,hip hop and jazz since she was a child. She has studied at American Ballet Theatre, Joffrey Ballet School, Princeton Ballet School, Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway. You can also find Liz on Saturdays instructing Kiddie Tumblers! Liz loves to snowboard and is also an avid Pilates, Yoga and Spin goer. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Dance/Movement Therapy.

Monica Goldsack

Monica has been training and teaching for the last 20 years, specializing in hardcore boot camp/toning classes and core work. She is AFAA certified and will give you the work out of your life. Push yourself to the limits with Monica in her Sweata Weatha class at WiO. Besides fitness being her passion, the love of her life is her teenage son Tristan who is a competitive soccer player and will start training with his mother very soon.

Sherri Satz

Sherri has been an avid fitness enthusiast for as long as she can remember. She has been involved in the fitness industry for seven years teaching various fitness classes including, Total Body, Abs, TRX and Spinning. Sherri took her passion for spinning a bit further, incorporated swimming and running and started doing triathlons. She has completed all distances recently conquering the Lake Placid Ironman.
